BLINK FESTIVAL 2010 - TV Reports - A " must see" for any budding Biathletes or Nordic Ski Racers.
Well if we thought they weren't too bad this year we got our rude awakening this week! Yes, the Scottish Midge is alive and hungry, with me as seeminigly one of its main targets. Well done to everyone at training on Wednesday for your efforts in sticking to the task for so long, especially those hardy folk who actually made it right to the end. Thanks to Glenmore Lodge for allowing access to the Gym in the face of the midge onslaught. The Biathlon Training Group on Thursday enjoyed some good training on the upper section of the ski road which was not affected by the resurfacing earlier in the summer. Still a few midges but nice to see a couple of Reindeer for company near the Coire Cas Car Park.

GB ROLLERSKI SERIES A new website has been created specifically for the GB Rollerski Series. Click on the link at the start of this notice to view.
The next race in the GB Rollerski Series will be the Huntly Championships on 11 Sept. On Sunday 12th the Highland Nordic run 'Cairngorm classic' takes place which is a part of the Scottish Series and also acts as the Scottish Rollerski Championship for 2010. Highland Nordic Ski Club have posted the following information on their website concerning the race: Part of the course (from Glenmore to above the Sugar Bowl) has been resurfaced. There are fewer loose stones and potholes but the surface is slower than previous races. We still plan to run the races over the same courses. (July 2010) The final two events in the GB Series are at Lancaster (CT & FT Sprints) on Sat 2 Oct (4pm) and at Wessex (Castle Combe) on Sun 24 Oct (9, 6, 3km races).
